Senior Quality Engineer

Summary

Join DNSFilter, a rapidly growing network security company, as a Quality Engineer on our Integrations and Billing Team. You will play a key role in testing complex, scalable solutions and occasionally supporting other R&D teams. This full-time, remote position is ideal for candidates in the US or Canada who can work hours overlapping with Eastern Time. The role requires 5+ years of software testing experience with distributed SaaS applications and expertise in cloud-based systems, API testing, and SQL. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Software Testing distributed SaaS applications
• Experience with testing & debugging Cloud Based Systems - AWS, Redis (or similar), Chargebee/Stripe, 3rd party integrations, etc
• A talent for analysis, communication, interpretation, and problem-solving
• Strong knowledge of SDLC as it relates to quality
• Experience working remotely under minimal supervision
• Experience with Postman & API testing, Javascript, Playwright
• Experience with performance, load & security testing
• Hands-on experience with SQL
• Experience working remotely with a strong commitment to collaborative work in a remote environment
• Can work in hours overlapping with the EST timezone
• Must be eligible to work in the country of residence without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Study and learn the product and integration points to understand and identify product risks holistically
• Identify and work on a variety of challenging and highly complex problems
• Work as a scientist to experiment/test, validate assumptions, and connect the dots to reach a conclusion
• Test new and existing features from early-stage code through to E2E implementation
• Triage, troubleshoot, and debug issues found internally, or by our users on their endpoint machines
• Perform Systems Level Testing & Analysis including performance & load testing
• Design and execute test plans and test cases used to test “beyond the requirements” using strong creative, technical, lateral, and critical thinking skills
• Independently plan, estimate and deliver on moderately complex projects
• Effectively write concise actionable bug reports and supporting documentation
• Speak knowledgeably about testing activities, status and risks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining test automation
• Experience setting up & maintaining enterprise-level test labs
• Experience testing SSO, SAML, OIDC, 2FA, IAM
• A strong understanding of network protocols, configuration, administration & DNS as it relates to software testing
• Rapid Software Testing
