Senior Revenue Accountant

Summary

Join Clipboard Health as a Senior Revenue Accountant and contribute to the growth of this fast-growing Series C marketplace. You will play a key role in managing month-end close processes, preparing journal entries, and conducting ASC 606 analyses. Collaborate with the Finance team to implement efficient accounting procedures and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Analyze current procedures, recommend improvements, and support the external audit process. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a detail-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will possess a first-principles mindset, extreme curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and book journal entries to ensure the appropriate revenue, cost and AR treatments
• Complete ASC 606 analyses for new revenue streams
• Assist with monthly accounting close including analyzing fluctuations and providing meaningful financial reporting
• Understand relevant accounting principles and communicate such principles to peers and business partners, primarily in written form
• Analyze current procedures and make recommendations to develop and drive process improvements to achieve efficiency and scalability
• Operate with minimum supervision
• Support the external audit process and create improvements for any inefficiencies identified
• Assist in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Special projects on request

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition
• Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent field
• CPA and recent Big Four experience
• Experience in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment
• Experience with NetSuite
• First principles mindset – you break down a complex problem into its most basic foundational elements and build from there
• Extreme curiosity - not satisfied with easy or convenient answers; drives issues to root cause
• Ability to work comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
