Summary

Join Karat's Accounting team as a Senior Revenue Accountant and ensure accurate and compliant finance practices. This fully remote position, open to U.S.-based candidates in specific states, requires 7+ years of accounting experience and hands-on revenue accounting knowledge. You will own the day-to-day revenue accounting process, perform audits, work cross-functionally, and participate in system planning. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in accounting
  • Hands-on experience with revenue accounting, billing systems, and billing processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day of the revenue accounting process, ensuring compliance with GAAP (ASC 606)
  • Reviewing revenue contracts and agreements
  • Performing regular audits along the entire revenue stream
  • Working cross-functionally with various stakeholders to ensure monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue reporting is accurate and complete
  • Perform invoicing and collection functions for the company
  • Participate in the planning and implementing of accounting, billing, and other business systems
  • Work with partners in Go-to-Market and Accounting to ensure sales commissions are calculated and recorded accurately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Sage Intacct
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (working with senior management in a heavy written environment (Slack, email)
