Summary
Join Instacart's Brand Partnerships team as a Senior Sales Executive and contribute to the company's continued fast growth. You will focus on core strategic CPG companies, building relationships, employing solution selling, and influencing key stakeholders. Responsibilities include delivering on sales and net margin targets, developing sales collateral, leading annual planning, creating data-backed proposals for multi-million dollar contracts, and partnering with internal teams. Success requires a solid understanding of the CPG environment, experience selling large campaigns, knowledge of the digital media landscape, and strong presentation skills. The role offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a sales incentive plan and equity grants.
Requirements
- A solid understanding of the CPG environment either through direct sales and/or brand experience or similar exposure (ie. engaging with stakeholders across eCommerce, Media, Agency, Commercial/Sales and Marketing/Brand teams)
- Comfort selling large brand-centric campaigns against major seasonal tentpole moments
- Knowledge of the digital media landscape including connected TV, programmatic and social platforms for offsite media campaigns
- Sales experience in fast-paced environment with average contract values of $100k - $1MM
- Experience presenting to potential and current clients (presentation building)
- High attention to detail with strong execution skills
- Familiarity with the tools of the trade (eg. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Google Drive Suite, Salesforce)
- Experience with large data sets and ability to extract business insights from analysis (Experience in Tableau, Periscope, Mode preferred)
- Client presence and persuasiveness
- Metrics orientation - can get up to speed on search/ad metrics quickly
- Client service orientation - fast follow ups, general sense of urgency
- Thrives in ambiguous, startup environments and enjoys rapid change and learning
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels, able to dive into data and make decisions based on insights
- Customer-focused with the ability to identify consumer pain points and develop strategies to enhance the consumer experience
- Openness to travel
Responsibilities
- Deliver on individual/team sales and net margin targets
- Develop and maintain relationships with advertisers (Including stakeholders across eCommerce, Agency, Media, Sales and Marketing/Brand teams)
- Develop data driven sales collateral, case studies, and custom โstoriesโ to translate benefits of Instacartโs platform to CPG advertisers business needs
- Lead annual planning and budgeting process with Fortune 100 accounts
- Create data-backed proposals for up to multi-million dollar contracts for digital advertising
- Partner with Internal teams such as: account management, analytics, measurement, product and engineering to shape the future of our product monetization strategy
- Collaborate with Marketing and Yield teams to design and sell bespoke campaigns against key advertiser occasions
