Requirements
- 4+ years experience doing SEO work for clients within an agency environment
- 1-2 years client facing experience
- Experience with local SEO and Ecommerce SEO
- Desire to lead strategy for multiple large growth SEO clients
- Understand the basics of SEO such as keyword research & website architecture
- Familiar with Google Analytics, and grasp the basics of content marketing
- Experience with keyword research/data mining tools and competitive analysis
- Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Internet proficiency are required
- Experience working directly on websites (general knowledge of CMS such as WordPress, Shopify, or Magento is a plus)
- Ability to quickly pick up new skills and learn new tasks
- Proven track record of successful project management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to hit and exceed deadlines required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral while paying close attention to detail
- A proactive approach to collaborating with others and managing workload
Responsibilities
- Work on multiple client websites by implementing changes to various aspects in order to comply with Google's best practices and attain client website goals
- Retain existing business, while pursuing profitable growth opportunities in assigned clients accounts, both in SEO investments and cross-channel upsells
- Communicate regularly with clients to discuss goals and deliver results
- Utilize business acumen to work closely with client teams to identify and fully understand business needs, campaign performance objectives, and opportunities to grow the relationship and client investments
- Strategize with team members to come up with creative solutions for our clients
- Identify critical client/account issues and escalate them to appropriate executives in a timely manner
- Keep up with the SEO industry through blogs, publishers, competitive research, etc
- Create reports to gauge progress and inform the client of the value being provided
- Present your findings to the client in order to influence their onsite content strategy
- Lead the sales process and partner with others as appropriate to assist in solution development and proposal delivery
- Work with a client's development team to implement changes to their website or on your own with approval from the client
- Guide and mentor junior staff where necessary and consistently serve the department as a role model for the junior staff on the team
