Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Summary

You will support our platform by working on both the application layer and infrastructure, driving improvements to our Payroll system, managing cloud infrastructure, and focusing on deployments, security, availability, and monitoring. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, work with our .NET codebase, design and test deployment strategies, analyze MTTR/MTBF, and support test automation. Requirements

• Be hands-on coding with strong C# and .NET development skills
• Help a scaling organisation de-tangle legacy systems
• Experience running cloud-based applications - we use AWS
• Some experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform
• Understand continuous integration and delivery pipelines and Gitops workflows
• Be a strong communicator and able to work independently with teams across different time zones
• Collaborate with colleagues e.g. architects and security experts to implement best application and infrastructure security practices

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams right across the Payroll product
• Work in our .NET codebase to find and fix problems
• Design and testing strategies which improve deployment time and up-time
• Proactively monitoring performance and health-checking before issues come up!
• Analysing MTTR (mean time to resolution) and MTBF (mean time between failures) and designing initiatives to improve
• Supporting test automation coverage
