Senior Snowflake Administrator

Summary

Join Tala, a company on a mission to empower the financially underserved, and become a Snowflake Data Engineer. In this role, you will design and maintain Snowflake's RBAC architecture, automate role provisioning and audits, and configure warehouse settings for optimal performance and cost efficiency. You will also implement data privacy and governance policies, monitor resource usage, and track access patterns. This position requires experience in a software company or platform team and 3+ years of experience with Snowflake. Tala offers a remote-first work environment and a diverse, global team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a software company or a platform team
• 3+ years experience working with Snowflake

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain RBAC architecture across environments
• Automate role provisioning and audits (Terraform, custom scripts)
• Configure warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, multi-cluster
• Set up and monitor resource monitors to control runaway costs
• Apply and enforce PII tagging and masking policies
• Track access patterns using ACCESS_HISTORY and OBJECT_DEPENDENCIES
