Summary

Join Velocity Global's in-house Creative team as a Senior Designer / Social Media Designer, reporting to the Head of Brand and Content Marketing. This fully remote, U.S.-based role requires approximately half your time dedicated to social media content creation and the other half to various marketing design initiatives. You will develop and implement social media strategies, design engaging content, manage the company's social media presence, collaborate with the marketing team, and stay updated on industry trends. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of professional design experience, proficiency in creative software, a strong understanding of brand development, and excellent collaboration skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in art, advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field (degree/certificate not required)
  • 5+ years of professional design experience, with a portfolio showcasing integrated campaigns and innovative, impactful social media and brand work
  • Experience in brand, campaign, and product design; a mix of B2B and B2C experience
  • Proficient in creative software, including Figma, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, with expertise in design for web, video, animation, and advertising
  • A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
  • Demonstrates exactness in reviewing work, coupled with strong organizational and project management abilities, to ensure tasks are accurately completed and delivered within deadlines
  • A strong, collaborative mindset to work successfully with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to translate complex ideas into visually compelling concepts that resonate globally
  • An innovative approach with a passion for creating exceptional work

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Design and create visually appealing graphics, videos, and animations for social media, websites, and marketing materials
  • Manage and maintain the company's social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring analytics
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns, promotions, and product launches
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve social media strategies and designs

Preferred Qualifications

Preference for candidates who are comfortable working Pacific Time (PT) or Mountain Time (MT) hours to align with team collaboration needs
