Summary
Join Coveo's DACH Sales team as a Senior Solution Engineer and revolutionize how businesses connect with customers. This role focuses on showcasing Coveo's Commerce solution, empowering prospective customers to understand its value, and winning in competitive landscapes. You will be a technical SME, delivering impactful presentations and strategic insights. Your main responsibilities include helping customers evaluate Coveo's solutions, scoping opportunities, conducting technical discovery, delivering demos, leading POCs, contributing to RFPs, and acting as a Coveo expert at events. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in presales/sales engineering, commerce platform expertise, and strong technical skills.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in the field as Presales / Sales Engineer/ Solution Consultant. Strong demo, POC and competitive benchmarking practices are part of your approach. You regularly represent the voice of the customer with product management
- Commerce platform expertise (B2B or B2C) with technical and business requirements discovery experience in an ecommerce context. i.e. SAP, Salesforce, Magento, Shopify; CMS experience is a plus
- Able to navigate medium to large organizations (roles and responsibilities, departments, etc)
- Programming skills with basic Python and Javascript and experience with APIs (Postman) will be the right skillset to make you successful in this role
- Able to travel minimum 30% to 50% of the time
Responsibilities
- Help prospective customers understand, compare, and evaluate the value of Coveoβs Commerce solutions. Ensure our offerings meet their needs and drive confident buying decisions
- Scope and evaluate prospect opportunities. Your expertise will be key in this operation
- Conduct in-depth technical discovery to capture requirements, assess fit, and identify potential gaps or risks. Support potential customers in their evaluation of Coveo, respond to InfoSec requirements and technical questions from our prospects
- Configure and deliver tailored, competitive demos that highlight the most relevant features of Coveoβs solutions, clearly demonstrating their value and benefits
- Lead the creation and management of Proof of Concepts (POC), collaborating with teams to deliver solutions that resonate with complex customer needs
- Be a technical lead in RFI and RFP proposals, ensuring responses are strategically positioning Coveo for success
- Be a Coveo expert and evangelist that participates in conferences and other events (as speaker or booth presence)
Preferred Qualifications
- You may also have moved from Professional Services. You are great at scoping a project and determining key drivers to win a deal
- AI/ML expertise with Search and Commerce related models (e.g. query suggestions, product recommendation models, generative answering, etc.)
