Summary

Join Aequilibrium as a Senior Solutions Architect & Consultant, leveraging your expertise in digital banking platforms and core banking integrations to lead digital banking transformation. You will architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance banking solutions, integrating core banking platforms and fintech ecosystems. This role involves working with leading banking platforms like Temenos and others to build next-generation banking solutions. Initially a consultant contractor role, it offers the potential to transition into a full-time position. You will engage with financial institutions, fintech vendors, and engineering teams, providing expert guidance and driving innovation in AI-driven financial services and blockchain payments. The position is 100% remote, but candidates must reside and be eligible to work in Canada.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or enterprise architecture roles. Credit union experience is required
  • Expertise in designing enterprise-scale banking solutions using Temenos, DNA, Forge, VeriPark, Intellect Design, ebankit, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of microservices, SOA, API-driven banking, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native design
  • Hands-on experience with Java, .NET, Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar enterprise development frameworks
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployments
  • Deep knowledge of banking APIs, standards, and security protocols (OAuth, SAML, JWT)
  • Experience leading DevOps initiatives, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments
  • Ability to work in agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and lead architecture governance processes
  • Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and communication skills, engaging with C-level executives, engineering teams, and external vendors

Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead enterprise-scale digital banking platform solutions, ensuring compliance with security, performance, and regulatory requirements
  • Integrate core banking platforms such as Temenos Transact & Infinity, DNA, Forge, VeriPark, Intellect Design, and ebankit into digital banking ecosystems
  • Design and oversee microservices architectures, integrating APIs, event-driven systems, and cloud-native solutions for seamless banking operations
  • Develop API-first strategies to enable core banking integration, customer data synchronization, and omnichannel banking experiences
  • Optimize banking solutions using modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with Kubernetes, serverless computing, and containerized deployments
  • Partner with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD best practices, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and automated testing strategies
  • Engage with banks, credit unions, and fintech partners, providing expert guidance on digital transformation, open banking, and cloud adoption
  • Collaborate with vendor teams to ensure smooth integration, deployment, and scalability of banking solutions
  • Support pre-sales and client pitches, conducting architecture assessments and technical solutioning to drive business growth
  • Drive innovation in fintech by exploring AI-driven financial services, blockchain payments, and composable banking solutions
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security risks to ensure long-term scalability and compliance
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering best practices for digital banking technology, cloud-native solutions, and software development standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mobile banking solutions and cross-platform mobile frameworks (Flutter, React Native, Kotlin, Swift)
  • Expertise in event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS)
  • Experience integrating CRM platforms like Salesforce or Dynamics 365 into digital banking ecosystems
  • Understanding of blockchain applications in banking and AI-driven financial services
  • Contributions to open-source projects, blogs, or fintech industry conferences
