Senior Solutions Consultant

Summary

Join Databricks' Professional Services team as a Sr. Solutions Consultant and work on short to medium-term customer engagements, resolving their big data challenges using Apache Spark and the Databricks Platform. You will contribute to data engineering and science, integrate client systems, provide training, and perform other technical tasks to help clients maximize the value of their data. The role involves supporting customers in understanding, evaluating, and adopting Databricks, consulting on architecture and design, building reference architectures and demo applications, and providing support for escalations. Collaboration with internal teams and clients is crucial to ensure successful project delivery. You will also provide product and implementation feedback to improve issue resolution. The position requires approximately 50% travel to client locations.

Requirements

• Experience with Big Data Technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Storm
• Fluent in SQL, Python and/or Scala
• Expertise in at least 1 cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Responsibilities

• Support customers' successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks
• Consult on architecture and design, bootstrap, and implement strategic customer projects
• Build reference architectures, how-to's, and demo applications for customers
• Provide support for customer escalations and operational issues
• Architect, implement, and validate integrations with 3rd party applications
• Work with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect and Customer team to ensure the technical components of the engagement are delivered to meet customer's needs
• Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and to improve rapid resolution for engagement specific product and support issues
