Summary

Join 540 as a Senior Solutions Architect and partner with Google to build new capabilities for an Air Force integration platform. You will play a key role in the project's technical delivery and architecture. This remote position, based within the continental US, requires East Coast working hours with flexibility and up to 25% travel. Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in a technical leadership role
  • Extensive experience in building enterprise software application architectures using AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Extensive experience in Kubernetes
  • Extensive experience in Microservices using CI/CD pipelines
  • Currently possess a Professional level cloud architecture certification, preferably GCP Professional Cloud Architect
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences through remote communication tools
  • Ability to work independently (as if on an island) with clients, but also be a consummate team player

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Plan and support design, implementation, and troubleshooting of cloud systems and environments, including long-term technical planning
  • Support cloud systems and application development teams with daily tasks
  • Take responsibility for decisions on cloud architecture, networking, software implementations, and technical architecture
  • Plan and support deployment and configuration of multiple applications by designing and supporting development of automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Write technical documentation regarding system architecture, configuration, and design decisions
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop and execute requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Keycloak
  • Experience with Vertex AI
  • Experience with Database development
  • Experience with DevSecOps best practices
  • Linux skills (especially with RHEL)
  • Experience with API Gateways and API Management platforms such as Google Apigee
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Strong personal programming skills in a strongly-typed language like Java/Kotlin/C/etc
  • Experience working on US Federal Government projects, specifically with the Department of Defense
