Summary
Join Oscar as a Senior Specialist, Provider Licensing and contribute to our mission of transforming healthcare. You will be responsible for managing the licensure and cross-license tracking of all Oscar Medical Group providers. This role involves direct interaction with providers and state licensing entities, ensuring compliance and accurate information. You will report to the Associate Manager, Provider Operations and must reside in one of the specified states. Requirements
- 2+ years of provider (MD, DO, NP, PA) licensing/credentialing application & submission across multiple states & multiple providers
- 2+ years experience working with state licensing boards with knowledge of multiple state rules and regulations
- 2+ years experience in real-time license monitoring and license verification
- 2+ years experience working with physician leadership, clinicians, reporting out on updates to stakeholders as needed
- 1+ years experience with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities
- Manage provider master licensing process to ensure information is accurate, kept up to date and that our providers are in compliance at all times
- Proactively and consistently communicate with with providers on upcoming expirations and license renewals to guide them through the process using knowledge and expertise to resolve potential issues
- Keep track and log provider licenses in provider files
- Work with identified providers for licensing application and submission
- Keep current provider license in-progress tracker updated for leaders
- Input and verify information in licensing system for real-time monitoring
- Review flags from real-time monitoring and licensing verification system
- Ensure licensing information is updated real-time within Oscar system
- Support of Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) supervision tracking
- Review requests that require immediate assistance
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of healthcare experience in multi-provider clinics
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to document processes in a concise but thorough manner
- Problem solver and ability to work autonomously
