Senior Staff Product Designer

Requirements

• You have 7+ years of product design experience, with recent experience preferably in a startup or entrepreneurial environment
• You have a proven track record to design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces
• You have a strong command of customer discovery, hypothesis validation, and rapid user testing approaches
• You have strong fluency in modern design and prototyping tools and can build annotated and detailed mock-ups from low-fidelity to pixel perfect designs, landing pages, and even the occasional ad
• You've balanced user experience, business needs, technical feasibility, and time-to-market to determine the best product design
• You can communicate clearly about your designs at the idea phase through the development phase and can advocate for your decisions
• You love working in a fast-paced environment, improving your leadership and design skills, and believe that design is important to any product's success
• You can work efficiently with a geographically distributed team

Responsibilities

• Partner with product leadership to shape the product vision and strategy, bringing a design-driven perspective to strategic decisions
• Conduct market research, customer interviews, user testing, and competitive analysis to identify unmet needs, validate product ideas, and advise potential solutions
• Be responsible for everything from sketches to prototypes to high-fidelity designs
• Advocate for the User: Be a voice and champion for your users throughout every step of the design process
• Stay current with industry trends and standard methodologies to improve the design process and product quality continually
• Mentor designers and lead by example to uplevel design thinking at Mozilla
