Join ServiceNow's Data Foundations QA team and lead the quality engineering strategy for AI-integrated features and services. Requirements
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
- 12+ years professional experience in quality assurance or application development
- 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of QE work
- Experience leading quality efforts within a scrum team of 10+ QE engineers
- Ability to diagnose issues, come up with a strategy for relief, permanent fix and RCA and implement it
- Knowledge of Cloud Dev. Platforms, Web Dev, Frameworks, and service-oriented architecture
- Ability to implement best practices and coding standards on role specific requirements (e.g. programming languages and tools, network design, functional design, algorithms, patterns, design and development, etc.)
- Fluency with scripting in JavaScript. Experience with Eclipse, Jenkin, Maven, and Git
- Experience with different testing techniques (e.g. performance, unit, integration, automated), their strengths and weakness, and ability to use them to best effect
- Expert working knowledge and ability to use tools (such as IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools) to assist with daily tasks
- Experience driving cross-team technical discussions with knowledgeย of SDLC concepts
Responsibilities
- Leading the QE Strategy & Execution
- Produce the overall quality strategy for AI-integrated features and services
- Partnerย with development teamsย to define test plans, automation coverage, and release readiness criteria
- Manage a team of 10+ QE engineers by prioritizing work, removing blockers, and fostering professional development
- AI-Focused Quality Engineering
- Evaluate and test AI-powered features, including model validation, prompt testing, and workflow automation
- Review AI-generated insights to identify trends and data-driven determinations
- Partner with data teams to validate training pipelines and model outputs from a quality engineering perspective
- Automation & CI/CD Integration
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Maven) to enable efficient, reliable test execution
- Expand automated test coverage across APIs, services, and AI capabilities using tools such as JavaScript, PyTest, and others
- Maintain and improve testing frameworks to ensure they remain scalable, reliable, and effective
- System-Level Troubleshooting & RCA
- In-depth investigations into defects, outages, and regressions across environments
- Leverage tools like profilers, debuggers, and Unix utilities to identify root causes and implement durable solutions
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with product, architecture, and engineering stakeholders to ensure AI features are testable, resilient, and built with quality in mind
- Contribute to and guide technical discussions that shape architectural determinations with quality implications
- Continuous Improvement & Standards
- Evolve best practices in test design, code quality, and metrics tracking
- Partner with the establishment and evolution of quality standards across engineering teams
