Summary

Join Airbnb as a Senior Technical Program Manager for Core Entity Data, a foundational driver of the company's business. You will collaborate with technical leaders to deliver major programs across engineering, ensuring the availability of core entity data for AI/ML support. This role requires at least 13 years of work experience, including 11 years as a TPM or in a relevant role. You will develop and manage project plans, influence technical direction, define success criteria, and communicate progress to stakeholders. The position is US-remote eligible, with occasional office work or offsite attendance. Compensation includes a base pay range of $224,000 - $280,000 USD, plus potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Requirements

  • At least 13 years of work experience, with at least 11 years as a TPM or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions. You can take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line
  • Self-motivated, proactive and proven ability to adapt well and work with teams having different operating cadences
  • Sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a track record of taking ownership, leading data driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Experience developing or working directly on various aspects of large-scale ML/AI platforms. Experience with dataset generation, feature development, model testing and resource management to support the development of AI-powered product experiences
  • Experience in management and requirement provision for infrastructure teams
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time
  • Excellent written and oral business communication and people skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans to execute on Core Entity Initiatives, identify key milestones and ensure alignment across stakeholders
  • Think both broadly about overall outcomes while using good judgment on where to focus in on details
  • Influence the technical direction of projects to meet the stakeholders’ needs while upholding quality. Quickly validate project ideas through iterative development, and pivot as necessary
  • Define and align on success criteria for Core Entity initiatives, regularly assessing risks and opportunities and identifying mitigation strategies
  • Manage effective communication channels to keep stakeholders updated on the progress
  • Showcase the work in front of senior leaders, clearly communicate trade-offs, risks, and opportunities
