Summary
Join Unite Us as a Senior Strategic Sales Director and spearhead the growth of our enterprise business within state and local government. You will manage a sales territory, build executive relationships, and maintain a sales pipeline using our CRM. Effectively communicate the value of our technology, consistently exceeding sales quotas, and collaborate with policy and lobbyists. This role requires extensive enterprise sales experience, expertise in SaaS solutions for public agencies, and strong problem-solving skills. The position is remote, US-based, with potential travel. Requirements
- At least 8 years of enterprise sales or relevant leadership experience
- Experience making formal presentations to the executive leadership of large enterprise corporations
- Expertise selling Saas solutions directly to state and local public agencies and ability to be the company’s subject matter expert
- An understanding of state agency priorities, and the ability to work with state and local government agencies to influence requirements and deliver complex programs
- The ability to maintain a deep understanding of the sales pipeline, trends, and potential risk
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Desire to build and own your book of business
- Team-spirit - you’re able to promote a positive culture and work well cross-functionally in a setting that includes sales support & operations, marketing, and product
- Comfortability using and discussing technologies and an aptitude for learning
- All team members will be required to pass a background check which includes criminal, employment, and education verification
Responsibilities
- Manage and work assigned sales territory, focusing on enterprise opportunities in state and local government
- Build new relationships with executives and key decision-makers within assigned accounts
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecast through Unite Us CRM tools
- Effectively communicate the vision and value of Unite Us technology to prospects and clients
- Consistently meet or exceed the predetermined quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Identify, visit, and influence decision-makers of prospective customers
- Upsell and cross-sell within the existing client base
- Participate in sales training
- Collaborate directly with Policy and Lobbyists in each state
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA) is strongly preferred
- Experience in SaaS and Public sector sales is a plus
