Senior Systems Administrator

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT support
• 3+ years of experience working with the Nextgen EHR platform
• Strong understanding of healthcare IT infrastructure and security standards (HIPAA)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the Nextgen EHR platform, including triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues
• Collaborate with clinical and operations staff to understand workflows and translate requirements into system configurations
• Develop and maintain documentation for Nextgen EHR processes and configurations
• Implement and manage system updates, patches, and upgrades for the Nextgen EHR platform
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for optimization
• Enforce security policies and best practices within the Nextgen EHR environment
• Provide general IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Nextgen Certified Professional or similar Nextgen certification
• Experience with database management and SQL
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with network protocols and security
• Experience with IT project management methodologies
• Nextgen Certified Professional or similar Nextgen certification
