Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA required)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance, financial operations, and strategic planning
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial matters clearly
  • Adept at collaborating across functions and influencing key stakeholders
  • Proficient in ERP tax systems and advanced Excel functions
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Comfortable operating independently in a remote, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic tax initiatives to optimize the organizationโ€™s tax position while ensuring full compliance
  • Oversee all federal, state, and local tax filings; manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors
  • Lead tax audit preparation and response; provide guidance on non-recurring transactions and legislative changes
  • Contribute to financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support broader financial objectives
  • Establish and maintain tax and financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Advise senior leadership and stakeholders on tax implications and financial strategy
  • Manage partnerships with auditors, consultants, and government entities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in private equity-backed or investor-owned organizations is strongly preferred
  • Background in both public accounting and in-house corporate tax environments is highly valued
