Summary

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software and/or data engineering experience in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly technical environment, preferably delivering mobile applications and/or data solutions and microservices in support of enterprise customers
  • Self-motivated and able to operate independently without management oversight
  • Ability and willingness to take ownership of project dependencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a nuanced ability to facilitate effective interactions, both internally and externally to the team
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items
  • Ability to manage project ambiguity, complexity, and cross-functional interdependencies in an organized and structured way

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire software development lifecycle, from scoping through implementation, for two or more project teams
  • Perform all program management activities for each assigned project: planning, identifying key resources and stakeholders, facilitating estimate and schedule planning, driving project milestones, leading kickoff, daily, and weekly meetings, providing updates to internal and external stakeholders, documenting outcomes, following through on project retrospectives, continuously monitoring and reporting on progress, etc
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders (internal and external) throughout the project lifecycle, communicating and collaborating across Engineering and Product as well as external organizations such as Retailer Operations and Customer Success, driving decisions and resolutions
  • Uncover and manage interdependencies and impacts across projects and teams, often without direct management authority, navigating sometimes divergent expectations
  • Recommend re-prioritization and/or re-sequencing to accommodate project workload in accordance with resource availability and roadmap changes, facilitating critical path analysis, troubleshooting technical and business-related implementation problems in real time, and assigning to team members or escalating as appropriate
  • Provide thought leadership when addressing technical customer challenges and/or program execution hurdles, continuously improving the broader organization and helping it and the company to scale
  • Other related duties as assigned
