Requirements

  • Confidently leads complex software projects from initiation through delivery by applying Scrum or Kanban methodologies, aligning execution with business and technical goals through strategic planning, milestone tracking, and clear documentation
  • Skilled at facilitating Scrum ceremonies and driving Agile adoption across teams, promoting best practices that improve alignment, increase velocity, and support consistent, high-quality delivery
  • Excels in building alignment and transparency across cross-functional teams through structured communication, collaborative planning, and clear stakeholder engagement
  • Proficient in using tools such as Jira, Confluence, AWS, Okta, and GSuite to drive project tracking, maintain documentation, and enable seamless cross-team coordination
  • Experienced in identifying process gaps and implementing scalable improvements that boost productivity, enhance delivery quality, and ensure prioritization aligns with strategic objectives while resolving blockers and mitigating risks
  • Demonstrates leadership in mentoring project managers and shaping PMO practices that elevate delivery standards, strengthen Agile maturity, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • 7+ years of experience managing technical projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environments, developing and executing project plans and delivery commitments
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience required
  • Proven expertise in Agile philosophy, with the ability to lead teams in applying core principles
  • Hands-on experience leading multiple full lifecycle software implementations, from initiation through final acceptance
  • Comfortable working under tight timetables and in high-pressure situations
  • Proficient with enterprise level tools such as Jira, Confluence, GSuite, Okta, AWS
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to diverse stakeholders
  • Proactively identifies risks and drives mitigation for smooth execution
  • Self-starter able to operate autonomously with a proactive mindset and strong ownership mentality
  • High emotional intelligence, adaptability to ambiguity, and a “no job to small” startup mindset
  • Comfortable presenting to cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Strong Scrum expertise with the ability to lead with best practices, provide process improvement recommendations, and track team performance through metrics such as velocity, burndown, and burnup charts

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects across a diverse ecosystem of teams and stakeholders—including Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Security/IT, DevOps, and Business Operations—navigating interdependencies and shifting priorities with precision
  • Whether coordinating delivery timelines across systems teams or aligning on product roadmaps and infrastructure releases, you’ll ensure every initiative progresses with clarity, accountability, and measurable impact
  • Beyond execution, you’ll play a key role in helping mentor project managers, fostering a collaborative quality of delivery culture, and championing best practices in Scrum and Kanban to enhance team health, predictability, and scalability
  • You’ll help shape not just what we deliver—but how we work and grow together as a team
  • Operate autonomously to lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent software projects, partnering with Engineering, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders to build and execute detailed, milestone-driven project plans
  • Drive cross-team coordination by identifying and resolving dependencies, aligning roadmaps, and collaborating with team leaders to uphold delivery standards and ensure on-track, high-quality execution across all active initiatives
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies—including daily standups, backlog refinements, retrospectives, sprint planning, and sprint reviews—to drive alignment, maintain velocity, and support continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with Engineering Managers to improve forecasting accuracy, track and interpret delivery metrics, and support team health through structured planning and ongoing learning
  • Oversee release management processes, ensuring smooth deployments, production readiness, and cross-functional alignment to minimize disruption and risk
  • Communicate project health with clarity and confidence, sharing updates on status, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies with stakeholders at all levels
  • Model strong technical acumen by understanding engineering constraints, architecture tradeoffs, and delivery risks to enable sound planning and informed decision-making
  • Advocate for delivery and engineering quality, maintaining high standards through proactive risk management, sprint discipline, and effective feedback loops
  • Champion process improvements by identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable, efficient solutions in partnership with cross-functional and IT leaders
  • Mentor and support project managers, sharing knowledge, encouraging growth, and helping drive consistency in Scrum practices and PMO standards
  • Contribute to a strong team culture, operating with an ownership mindset, accountability, and humility—while building strong partnerships with the broader PMO team to promote alignment, knowledge sharing, and consistent delivery practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with higher education institutions or consulting firms
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, CAPM, or CSM) strongly preferred
