Summary

Join HackerOne's high-performing Talent Acquisition team as a Senior Technical Recruiter and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future by hiring exceptional technical talent across the U.S. This remote position, based in Austin, offers a flexible work approach with occasional in-person requirements. You will lead full-cycle recruiting for various technical roles, focusing on engineering, proactively source top-tier candidates, build strong relationships with hiring managers, and optimize hiring processes. You will also champion a positive candidate experience, maintain accurate data in the ATS, and act as an ambassador for HackerOne's mission and culture. Data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 3 years in-house (you’ve seen the inside of a fast-moving company and know how to get things done)
  • Proven track record hiring for technical roles, especially software engineers
  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS or tech scale-up environment — you're used to tight timelines, shifting priorities, and wearing multiple hats
  • Comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams like Compensation, People Ops, and HRBPs
  • Known for your creative sourcing skills — you know how to find great talent even when it’s not looking
  • Data-driven mindset — you don’t just report numbers, you use them to tell stories and guide decisions
  • Excellent at juggling priorities, staying organized, and keeping things moving in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle hiring for a range of roles, with a strong focus on engineering and technical talent
  • Review resumes, run phone screens, and dig deep to understand what makes a candidate truly stand out
  • Proactively source top-tier candidates using every creative tool in your kit — LinkedIn is just the beginning
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers, guide them through hiring strategy, and collaborate to create a smooth and efficient process
  • Own hiring processes end-to-end, continuously optimizing and improving as you go
  • Create a proactive pipeline for high-volume roles — no waiting around for applicants here
  • Champion an unforgettable candidate experience, from first contact to offer, with consistent communication and white-glove follow-up
  • Keep our ATS (we use Ashby!) tidy and accurate — you're the source of truth for your roles
  • Get to know HackerOne inside-out and become an authentic, compelling ambassador for our mission and culture
  • Use data to inform decisions and spot areas for improvement — you don’t just have recruiting metrics, you use them

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in the cybersecurity space
  • Familiarity with Ashby (our ATS), Google Workspace, and Slack
