Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years of relevant professional experience, including
  • 1 year experience providing direct human subjects protection support to the OHARO
  • IRB experience
  • Ability to translate complex scientific content and concepts in plain language through writing
  • Ability to independently conduct research to draft accurate and appropriate audience-specific content
  • Ability to edit materials to meet proposal needs and in compliance with style guides
  • Excellent grammatical/punctuation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite, especially Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work productively and collaboratively in SharePoint or Teams to accomplish tasks
  • To be successful at Ripple Effect, you must be able to pay attention to details, clearly communicate, work independently, and have an eagerness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Performs analyses to develop compliance matrices and outlines based on reviewing lengthy solicitation documents
  • Simplifies complex materials for effective presentation to a target audience and translates complex jargon to technically accurate plain language
  • Utilizes best practices for writing /editing such as: maintaining continuity of style, voices, and complying with style guides
  • Provides coordination of business development efforts, shepherding proposals through to submission
  • Performs advanced desktop publishing in Word and PDF to produce high-quality proposal submissions
  • Writes and sends emails, meeting invitations, and other partner, client, and internal communications
  • Drafts meeting notes, and tracks meeting related content including agenda topics, participant list, pre- and post-work to accomplish proposal objectives
  • Provides expert advice to develop a wide range of deliverables in support of business development including reports, communications, presentations, kickoff and briefing decks, and training materials
  • Ensures proposals are of high quality and adhere to guidelines for format, content and accessibility
  • Assesses and implements technology solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of content delivery, information management, and process improvement
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in science or health field
  • Experience in health or science-based technical writing
  • Availability to start within two days of an offer
  • Experience with federal government contracting
