Summary

The job is for a Senior Underwriter in the Non-fleet team at Nirvana, a fast-growing insurance startup. The role involves evaluating commercial Transportation business, working closely with key agency partners, and collaborating with Product and Engineering groups to scale. Requires 6+ years of underwriting experience in the Transportation space.

Requirements

• 6+ years of property/casualty underwriting experience in the Transportation space
• Proven track record of growing and maintaining a book of profitable transportation business
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to present to both small and large groups of customers and brokers

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and price new and renewal commercial Transportation business (1-9 units)
• Work with multiple accounts simultaneously in a fast paced environment
• Collaborate with the Product and Engineering groups on emerging segments and territories as we scale

Preferred Qualifications

Open to occasional travel focused on building relationships with key agencies and customers (<10%)
