Responsibilities
- Uncover user behavior, needs, and workflows, identifying key opportunities for innovation
- Translate research into actionable insights
- Identify and understand new cybersecurity-related problem areas for B2B customers to drive product innovation, running interviews and surveys in collaboration with product marketing, and working with input from the customer teams and senior stakeholders
- Work with product team partners to define new capabilities for B2B customers, define MVP concepts, and test and iteratively refine solution designs
- Gather product feedback on new capabilities pre-launch (define and run product beta programs), evaluate new releases (help set up measurements for usage and success), and run post-launch feedback surveys and customer interviews
- Conduct lean, outcome-driven studies to understand user behavior, needs, use cases, and workflows, and identify opportunities to maximize business impact, drawing on standard qualitative UX research methodologies (contextual interviews, usability tests, surveys, competitor reviews, diary studies)
- Generate clear and impactful insights that support product and design decisions, supporting ongoing and upcoming product initiatives and informing the roadmap and strategy. Proactively communicate these insights to relevant stakeholders
- Engage stakeholders to understand their goals, priorities, and plans and consolidate their input into a comprehensive research roadmap and set of test plans
- Collaborate closely with product team peers through the entire product development and design lifecycle (discovery, ideation, concept testing, design validation, post-release evaluation). Run workshops to translate user needs into product features and improvements
- Partner with data analysts and product marketers to define key metrics and measurements along the customer journey
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain experience in cybersecurity (familiarity with industry trends, technologies, market dynamics, use cases, and user needs)
- Research experience in B2B settings (understanding customer needs and gathering feedback from admins, vendors, and managed service providers)
