Requirements

  • Proven experience in an SEO role, preferably within the travel industry in Germany, with a track record of improving organic search rankings and driving organic traffic growth
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and tools, with specific experience in optimising large-scale websites for the German market
  • Solid understanding of technical SEO, proven experience working on technical SEO features such as structured data, snippets, breadcrumbs, and other SEO tech improvements
  • Proficiency in using SEO tools and analytics platforms, such as GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data, make data-driven decisions, and provide actionable insights for optimization
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple countries
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement
  • Fluent in spoken and written German and English
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy for the German market, aligning it with business objectives and focusing on improving organic search rankings, organic traffic, and conversion rates
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify relevant search terms and opportunities within the German travel industry, and optimise website content accordingly
  • Collaborate closely with content teams, product managers, developers, and other internal teams to implement SEO best practices and optimise German-language content
  • Monitor and analyse website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms, and provide regular reports with actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO, particularly in the German market, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge
  • Conduct thorough competitive analysis to identify industry trends in Germany, benchmark performance against local competitors
  • Collaborate with tech teams to integrate SEO best practices into our German website platform to grow organic traffic in the long tail
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in the German travel industry, such as emerging destinations, popular travel experiences, and customer preferences, and incorporate them into SEO strategies and content creation
