Summary
Join Abacus as a Service Transition Engineer and help redefine how the Managed Services industry integrates cloud technologies in the Alternative Investment space. You will collaborate with a talented team, using innovative tools and automation, to ensure successful client onboarding, migration, and implementation of the Abacus technology stack. This role involves working with various technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and potentially AWS, and requires strong problem-solving and time management skills. You will be responsible for client onboarding, application migration, and providing after-hours support. Requirements
- Must be able to work both independently and in project teams
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Highly logical thinker and skilled in identifying root cause of problems
- Minimum 1-3 yearsβ experience in a system engineering role focused on performing client migrations to Office 365 and the Azure cloud from other cloud or email providers
- Relevant experience in managed IT services, financial services, or another regulated industry required
- Must have availability to work nights and some weekends
Responsibilities
- Onboarding of new clients to the platform, including but not limited to building and configuring AD/Azure/Hybrid domains, migrating data to SharePoint/OneDrive or a new File Server running DFS
- Ensure server and client builds are completed according to company checklists and procedures
- Work with 3rd party vendors to migrate applications
- Provide afterhours migration and early-stage support for clients recently onboarded
- Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 services such as Office 365 and Azure
- Ability to scope, implement, and support new technology projects/initiatives
- Closely coordinate with the project management and remote support teams to address escalated issues in a timely fashion
- Ownership and follow up of pending issues to resolution
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified (MCSE), Microsoft O365 fundamentals, and Azure fundamentals a plus
- Preference for candidates located in CST or MST time zones
- Migration technologies to/from Office 365
- Microsoft Active Directory:Windows Server, especially DNS & DHCP
- O365/Onedrive/Sharepoint Administration, including Intune
- Administration of Azure cloud infrastructure (VDAs, Resource Groups)
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Powershell or other scripting languages
