Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ServiceNow platform in a consulting role
  • Proven track record of successful ServiceNow implementations and upgrades
  • Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow modules including ITSM and HRSD essential
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow development including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), UI policies, business rules, and workflow automation
  • Experience with integration tools and methodologies (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • As this is a remote role , you can be based anywhere in South Africa , so long as you are authorised to work in the country you reside in without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom applications and modules on the ServiceNow platform
  • Implement solutions in areas such as Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, Asset Management, and more
  • Develop custom workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and UI actions
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow platform functionality
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including process design, data models, and integration documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements
  • Configure and manage the ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
  • Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing
  • Monitor platform performance and suggest enhancements for optimal functionality
  • Participate in platform upgrades and ensure smooth transitions
  • Provide training and support for end-users and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or other ServiceNow certifications (preferred)
