Summary

Join our client, a health and wellness startup, as their experienced Shopify Developer. This fully remote role focuses on enhancing their e-commerce platform by optimizing their newly launched website for increased customer engagement and conversion. Reporting to the Director of eComm / CX / CRO, you will collaborate with Operations, Fulfillment, and Marketing teams. You will utilize Liquid, Javascript, and other technologies to improve user experience, manage content, and ensure optimal store functionality. The role requires 5+ years of full-stack development experience and proficiency in Shopify Liquid, Javascript, and other specified technologies. Success in this role will be measured by website optimization, seamless collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, proficient with Shopify Liquid, Wordpress, Javascript, TypeScript, modern frontend frameworks, and GitHub
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, Javascript, TypeScript, and frontend frameworks
• Shopify Customization: Familiarity with developing custom Shopify apps and making significant customizations to Shopify stores
• UX/UI Experience: Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and working knowledge of design tools like Figma for review and feedback workflows
• Content Management: Experience managing content with CMS platforms like Beae Page Builder
• Problem-Solving: Ability to thrive in autonomous and deadline-driven environments, with a creative problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

• Website Development and Optimization: Utilize Liquid, Javascript, and other relevant technologies to develop and enhance the e-commerce platform
• Shopify Ecosystem Expertise: Work within the Shopify platform and have expertise around flows, Shopify Native sections, and creating dynamic content blocks to prevent redundancy
• UX/UI Implementation: Incorporate best practices in UX/UI to enhance user experience and website performance. Partner with the creative team to ensure pixel-accurate translations from design > development
• Content Management: Manage digital content through page builders (Beae Page Builder) and experience migrating or creating open-source CMS systems
• Data Capturing and Analysis: Implement efficient data capture and analysis techniques and identify traffic funnel issues
• Iterative Development: Engage in agile and iterative development processes, adapting and improving features based on user feedback and analytics
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across various teams to ensure cohesive and successful project outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• E-Commerce Experience: Experience with Shopify Native
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, TripleWhale, and server-side data layer structures
• Sales and Integrations: Knowledge of backend integrations, 3PL / Fulfillment, and 3rd Party integrations
• Optimized Website Functionality: Successful enhancement of website features and user experience, contributing to increased customer engagement and conversion
• Seamless Collaboration: Efficient teamwork with marketing, operations, and fulfillment teams to deliver results
• Data-Driven Decisions: Ability to analyze data and optimize website performance to meet company goals
