Summary
Join ExpressVPN, a leader in online privacy and security, as their Social Community Manager. You will own and build social media presence for ExpressVPN and sister brands. Engage with target audiences, act as the point-of-contact for social media, and analyze performance. You will have flexibility in planning and execution, collaborating with in-house experts. Report directly to the Director of Communications in the UK, engaging audiences and protecting brand reputation. This role requires 4+ years of experience in social media, community management, or communications, exceptional writing skills, and experience with geographically distributed teams.
Requirements
- 4+ yearsโ experience working in social media, community management, and/or communications
- Exceptional English writing and editing skills
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams
- Passion for social media, including deep familiarity and expertise in major platforms including Twitter (X), Facebook, LinkedIn, and Reddit
- Experience in social media monitoring and measurement, including relevant analytics platforms and tools
- Experience in consumer tech communications
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Self-driven with strong attention to detail with a passion for strategic communications

Responsibilities
- Be the voice of our brands online . Apply your deep understanding of online culture, tone, and style to engage our audiences. Craft content plans, define best practices, and bring it all to life in collaboration with our in-house designers
- Protect our brands from reputational harm whether itโs a delicate customer complaint, a malicious online rumor, or a PR crisisโwith comprehensive plans, processes, and capabilities. Then, in the moment, be a first-rate communicator who can navigate any situation deftly
- Monitor social media for relevant conversations and trends and proactively share insights with product, content, marketing, and other colleagues
- Guide support agents in providing an exceptional customer experience on social media and review sites. Define guidelines; set, track, and report metrics; lead by example; and provide regular actionable feedback
- Support the development and implementation of external communication strategies and plans that deliver brand and business value . Collaborate within the global communications team; working cross-functionally as the gatekeeper for our social presence
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of working with privacy tech products
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment, or working with agency clients in highly regulated industries
- Experience with the affiliate marketing industry
- Familiarity with social media scheduling & reporting tools
