Summary

Join Tapas Entertainment, a leading digital publisher, as a Social Media & Publicity Associate! This full-time, 6-month contract position (with potential extension) is remote, with possible in-office opportunities. You will plan and execute social media strategies, coordinate with other teams, create engaging visual content and copy, conduct interviews, and manage publicity outreach. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a passion for webcomics, experience with design tools, and strong communication skills. Bilingualism in Korean is preferred but not required. This role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of a leading entertainment platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field
• Passion for webcomics—particularly Korean and Chinese webcomics—is essential
• Experience with Photoshop, Canva, Dropbox, or similar design/content tools
• Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with a keen eye for engaging digital content
• Solid understanding of social media marketing, digital engagement strategies, and audience growth
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute social media strategies
• Write engaging content
• Create visuals
• Monitor comments
• Report on performance metrics
• Work with Kakao Entertainment (KKE) and Tapas Entertainment, Inc. (TEI) social media teams to ensure cohesive scheduling and publishing of posts
• Oversee the creation of visual content
• Craft compelling copy for social media posts to enhance engagement
• Conduct and optimize on-camera and email interviews for social media, ensuring engaging content across platforms
• Create and manage email lists
• Write and edit pitch letters
• Reach out to media contacts to secure reviews and coverage for both K-Comics and Tapas Originals titles
• Edit and create short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts)
• Assist in coaching team members for on-camera appearances

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent graduates or graduating seniors
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Monday.com , and Basecamp
• Bilingual in Korean
• Deep knowledge of pop culture, internet trends, and social media dynamics—you know what’s trending and how to leverage it!
