Summary
Join Outschool as a Social Content Creator to lead content creation and performance across TikTok and YouTube. This part-time, contract role (~30 hours per week) involves creating engaging video content for parents and educators, building brand voice, and growing organic social media presence. You will manage Outschool’s TikTok and YouTube channels, monitor comments, stay updated on platform trends, analyze content performance, and collaborate with marketing teams. The role requires proven experience in short-form video content creation, social media strategy, on-camera confidence, video editing expertise, and excellent communication skills. A data-driven mindset and ability to work independently are essential. This is a remote-friendly position with an anticipated hourly rate of $40.00.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating short-form video content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, including content planning, audience growth, and platform trends
- On-camera confidence and video editing expertise, with an ability to produce engaging, polished short-form content
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of what drives engagement and growth on platforms like TikTok and YouTube
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences
- Data-driven mindset, using platform analytics to inform creative direction and optimize content performance
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, remote environments, able to work independently and manage multiple projects
Responsibilities
- Create, film, and edit engaging video content for TikTok and YouTube that resonates with parents of K–12 learners
- Manage Outschool’s TikTok and YouTube channels, including scheduling and posting content
- Monitor and respond to comments to foster community engagement and build trust
- Stay up to date on platform trends and best practices to inform content strategy
- Analyze performance of content and iterate based on what’s working
- Work closely with Outschool’s brand and marketing teams to align content with broader messaging and goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience speaking to or creating content for parents
- Experience in K–12 or online learning spaces
