Summary

Join MediaLab as a Social Media Specialist 2 and play a key role in creating, growing, managing, and monetizing social media channels. Your initial focus will be on developing a new Snapchat channel, generating engaging content, and contributing to social media strategies. You will collaborate with the team to achieve revenue and performance goals, supporting other social media team members. This role requires creating high-quality content, staying updated on trends, managing content calendars, and collaborating with various teams. You will utilize social media management tools for content scheduling and reporting, and analyze data to optimize revenue streams and track performance.

Requirements

  • Have 3 - 5 years of social media management experience either brand or agency side
  • Have experience using social media management tools e.g. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Sprout etc
  • Have proven experience in creating and managing specialized social media content
  • Have demonstrated success in social monetization for channels like Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  • Be a creative thinker with excellent storytelling and visual design skills
  • Have a strong understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, and best practices for different platforms
  • Have proficiency with photo and video editing tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar software
  • Have experience in data collection, analysis, and visualization, with a particular focus on gathering insights from social media performance metrics and contributing to comprehensive reports that inform strategic decision-making
  • Have experience navigating the social media guidelines and managing flag/violations to resolution
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Create and source innovative, high-quality content, including videos, images, and stories, that align with our brand voice and resonate with our target audience
  • Stay on top of trends and develop creative concepts to keep our Snapchat channel growing and engaged
  • Build and update a content calendar for all social media activity
  • Collaborate with content, sales, product and marketing teams to produce high-quality, on-brand visuals and messaging
  • Adhere to all social media guidelines as well as internal content guidelines when creating and publishing social media content
  • Use Medialab’s social media management tool (Sprinklr) for sourcing and scheduling content, as well as reporting
  • Build/Grow a brand new channel Snapchat channel, to the point of monetization, in order to meet 2025 social projections
  • Collect content data to assist with analyzing and optimizing revenue streams and tracking performance against KPIs
  • Manage and maintain a healthy Snapchat audience
