Software Backend Developer

Summary

Join Encora as a Software Back-End Developer and contribute to the development of scalable applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot 3+, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security. This full-time, remote position requires 5+ years of experience and expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, PostgreSQL, caching mechanisms, and reactive development with Java and WebFlux. You will be responsible for coding, testing, documenting, and delivering projects within a two-week sprint. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Requirements

• 5+ years experience
• Any graduate
• Experience developing scalable applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+, including Spring Cloud and Spring Security
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, PostgreSQL, caching mechanisms, and reactive development using Java and WebFlux
• Responsible, motivated, self-organized & driven team player with experience in development work with remote teams, American/British English C1
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
• Successful experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
• Strategic thinker with strong influencing skills and the ability to build consensus
• Strong action orientation; ability to make things happen
• Astute cross-cultural awareness and experience in working with international teams (especially US)

Responsibilities

• Code tested, documented, delivered under defined business stories and technical tasks within 2 week Sprint
• Facilitates team and stakeholder meetings effectively
• Holds regular status meetings / scrum meeting
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Splunk for monitoring and logging
