Requirements

  • 7+ years of development experience
  • 5+ years of development experience using Microsoft .NET/ASP.NET, Xamarin/.NET Maui, WPF, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher
  • Working knowledge and project experience using C#, C++, JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, and restful web services to create web and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with VMWare, Atlassian, Jira, Confluence, Docker, and/or Microsoft DevOps
  • Understanding of relational databases and modeling concepts
  • Development, refinement, and maintenance of services for integration with web/desktop/mobile applications
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues including security incidents
  • Project experience collaborating with Business Analysts to refine and translate requirements into solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Business Management, degree in public health/informatics or related field

Responsibilities

  • Provide software development expertise and conduct design and code activities within a matrixed team environment
  • Participate in agile and hybrid agile methodologies
  • Create and execute unit tests and support system test activities through collaborative teamwork
  • Develop, test, and support web-based application (mobile/desktop), middleware, and services development using HTML5 and .NET
  • Perform database systems development and testing using MS SQL Server database
  • Design, architect, and integrate systems with internal and multiple external systems
  • Create supporting system and database documentation in accordance with CDC guidance
  • Implement web metrics tools and components to track user and site behavior
  • Develop with adherence to Section 508 requirements and guidelines
  • Support migration of code and data from on premises to the cloud, specifically Microsoft Azure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with the Centers for Disease Control environment and standards: SDLC, technical architecture, release processes
  • Experience with occupational safety applications (NIOSH)

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $73,000-$97,200
  • Salary commensurate with experience
