Requirements

• Profound expertise in WordPress development and architecture
• Experience with CDN technologies and strategies, specifically for global scalability
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, auto-scaling solutions, and web server technologies (e.g., NGINX)
• Strong background in database management and optimization, particularly MySQL
• Familiarity with Ceph for data storage and stability solutions
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to technical challenges

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to understand and implement the technical aspects of the WordPress roadmap
• Work closely with the marketing team to align technical solutions with our business strategies, particularly with CDN solutions, auto-scaling, packaging, pricing structures, and customer experience improvements
• Develop and optimize WordPress hosting solutions, focusing on global CDN deployment, edge computing, and performance improvements
• Create and refine tools for site acceleration, error reporting, diagnostics, backups, and security
• Develop solutions to enhance the DreamHost SSO reliability and staging environment capabilities for WordPress

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing tools for WordPress performance optimization
• Knowledge of WordPress security practices and diagnostic tools
• Understanding of PHP settings and WordPress auto-update mechanisms
