Summary
Join Experian Health as a Software Development Manager and lead a team of engineers in developing products and solutions within a regulated environment. Collaborate with technical and business teams to define and enhance features. Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide technical leadership, and oversee all stages of software development. Establish and enforce code standards, perform code reviews, and lead troubleshooting efforts. Ensure efficient use of AWS resources and work on team development, budgeting, planning, and communication.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience as a Software Development Manager and leading a team of direct reports preferably in a healthcare organization
- Bachelor or advanced degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience developing. and managing .NET Core applications
- Knowledge of other relevant technologies like ASP.NET , C#, MVC, Entity Framework, and LINQ are also essential
- High level of proficiency in using multiple AWS services such as EC2, Lambda (serverless), S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation is expected
- Experience with microservices architecture is important, including understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS for container orchestration
- 5+ years of software development experience, with a substantial portion of that time spent in leadership
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS's DynamoDB
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and manage a team of engineers, to develop products and solutions in a regulated and complex environment
- Work with both technical and business teams to understand the requirements and dependencies for the features, that need to be developed and enhanced
- Attend daily standup meetings and all Agile ceremonies with the team, Scrum Master, and Product Owner to ensure the goals of the sprint/quarter are the focal point and the team marches towards completing them
- Provide technical leadership to the development team, guiding them to ensure we run a steady KTLO
- Oversee all stages of software development to ensure quality
- Establish and enforce code standards, perform code reviews, and lead troubleshooting efforts
- Ensure efficient use of resources in AWS, such as EC2 instances and Lambda functions, to optimize costs and performance
- Work on Team Development, Budgeting and Planning and Communication
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification could be an added advantage
- 5+ years' knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and other DevOps principles is beneficial
- Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline
