Software Engineer Intern

Join Atlan's Engineering Internship program and contribute to building, scaling, and innovating AI-powered solutions. As an intern, you will work on impactful projects alongside a talented engineering team, tackling real-world challenges in data and AI. The internship offers opportunities in platform engineering (AI-powered observability, cloud cost optimization, scalable deployment pipelines) and frontend engineering (human-centered design, performance optimization, futuristic technologies, backend synergy). Interns will learn from experts, gain practical experience, and potentially transition to a full-time role. The six-month paid internship includes a week of in-person onboarding in Delhi or Bangalore, followed by fully remote work.

Requirements

• Be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in India
• Commit to a full-time internship
• Have a major or concentration in Computer Science or a closely related field
• Commit for the one-week in-person onboarding and 6 months of fully remote full-time internship
• Demonstrate dedication to the internship
• Show passion and drive to succeed in the tech industry (assessed via application questions and program interviews)

Responsibilities

• Work on AI-driven solutions that analyze billions of data points to detect and resolve issues in large-scale systems
• Help solve some of the biggest challenges in monitoring and reliability
• Learn how to track, analyze, and optimize cloud usage, helping Atlan build efficient and cost-effective cloud infrastructure
• Work on high-performance automation and release systems, helping engineers ship features faster and more reliably
• Design solutions that can handle hundreds of deployments per day without breaking a sweat
• Work on building and obsessively optimizing interfaces that enable the humans of data & AI to effortlessly access business-critical knowledge
• Craft lightning-fast experiences and pursue milli-second-latency-shaving missions in a bid to build a turbo-charged data catalog for the world's largest enterprises
• Learn not just how to leverage cutting-edge software stacks but also how to build them in-house in the form of eclectic design systems, blazing-fast SDKs, and infinitely scalable config-driven interfaces
• Work closely with our petabyte-juggling backend teams to integrate APIs and sockets, ensuring smoother-than-butter data flows
• Learn from experts with decades of experience
• Understand customer needs, market dynamics, and what drives success

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript and React
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Jenkins, Datadog, Grafana, ClickHouse, VictoriaMetrics, and Elasticsearch
