Software Engineering Manager

Requirements

• 5+ years in software development, including experience building high-quality, backend services with high stability
• Hands-on coding skills and architecture patterns, with the ability to lead by example technically
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, leading, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers
• Skilled in performance management, feedback delivery, and creating growth opportunities for engineers
• A natural coach with a passion for helping others grow, providing actionable feedback and guidance that encourages continuous improvement
• Skilled in working across functions to drive aligned, impactful outcomes, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Eager to improve processes and team health, with a mindset for problem-solving that considers both immediate and long-term impacts

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of engineers
• Actively contribute to the codebase and deliver features alongside your team
• Focus on team building, coaching, performance management, career development, and organizational improvements
• Make a meaningful impact through mentorship, cross-functional partnership, and building a strong technical foundation
• Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering leaders to drive outcomes, not just output
• Teach and mentor ICs, with a focus on improving both technical craftsmanship and team health
