Requirements
- 5+ years in software development, including experience building high-quality, backend services with high stability
- Hands-on coding skills and architecture patterns, with the ability to lead by example technically
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, leading, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers
- Skilled in performance management, feedback delivery, and creating growth opportunities for engineers
- A natural coach with a passion for helping others grow, providing actionable feedback and guidance that encourages continuous improvement
- Skilled in working across functions to drive aligned, impactful outcomes, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Eager to improve processes and team health, with a mindset for problem-solving that considers both immediate and long-term impacts
Responsibilities
- Manage a group of engineers
- Actively contribute to the codebase and deliver features alongside your team
- Focus on team building, coaching, performance management, career development, and organizational improvements
- Make a meaningful impact through mentorship, cross-functional partnership, and building a strong technical foundation
- Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering leaders to drive outcomes, not just output
- Teach and mentor ICs, with a focus on improving both technical craftsmanship and team health
