  • At least 3 years of experience managing software development teams working on SaaS solutions
  • At least 7 years of professional experience as a software development engineer with progressive growth
  • Experience working with .Net (C#) or similar frameworks
  • Experience hiring, developing and managing engineering talent
  • Experience owning and maintaining high-volume, high-availability production environments
  • Capable of deep troubleshooting and discovering root causes of problems
  • Experience creating and documenting system design and architecture
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to work effectively within and across departments
  • Experience working within a DevOps environment
  • Experience collaborating with product managers/owners on initiative planning & solutioning
  • Excellent organization skills - ability to work effectively and independently prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of software development engineers, set goals, assign tasks, and review performance
  • Own and drive the implementation of complex product features
  • Manage the support and maintenance of systems after release
  • Work cooperatively with cross-functional teams of project managers, testers, and customer representatives within a system development life cycle
  • Mentor software engineers on software programming and design best practices
  • Drive programming excellence and discipline, including the production of high-quality and maintainable code
  • Constantly improve the development processes, tools and methodologies used by developers
  • Promote teamwork and problem resolution. Foster an environment of open discussion, debate, and questioning while always maintaining professionalism and respect for others
  • Identify and recommend new technology directions and platforms
