Software Release Program Manager

Summary

Join Vendavo's growing engineering team as a Software Release Program Manager! You will oversee the planning, scheduling, communication, and coordination of our SaaS platforms. This pivotal role ensures timely software delivery to customers, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will manage expectations, measure results, and improve processes. The position offers a fully remote work environment with flexible hours and a comprehensive benefits package. We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of experience in software release management and 5+ years of total software development experience. Desirable certifications include those from PMI, Scaled Agile, Scrum Alliance, and/or ITIL.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, business, Management Information Systems or related field
• 2+ years of experience in software release management, and 5+ years of total experience in software development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build trusted partnerships with executives and product teams
• Strong working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and software quality attributes
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of Project Management Software Tools such as Jira
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate releases to established timelines across multiple product teams
• Organize and facilitate structured communications throughout the release lifecycle
• Continuously improve release processes based on lessons learned and best practices
• Ensure the definition of done is clearly published and tracked
• Drive communication and treatment of risks
• Identify and drive resolution of dependencies across separate products
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications from PMI, Scaled Agile, Scrum Alliance, and/or ITIL
