Solution Architect

Summary

The job is for an OpenStack Solutions Architect at Rackspace who will work with customers, sales teams, solutions engineers, and product development/management groups. The candidate should have 5+ years of solution architecture experience or specialty domain experience, strong knowledge of OpenStack or Kubernetes projects, familiarity with DevOps concepts, programming, and architectural frameworks, and the ability to travel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of solution architecture experience or specialty domain experience
• Strong knowledge of the core OpenStack or Kubernetes projects
• Experience with sizing and optimizing the hardware required to run various OpenStack services
• Familiarity with or a desire to learn components such as Helm, ISTIO, Prometheus, and other Kubernetes services
• Strong understanding of the DevOps concepts for CI/CD, configuration management, orchestration, etc
• Familiarity with programming and architectural frameworks; experience with Python and/or OpenShift is ideal
• Ability to travel approximately 25-50%
• Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship

Any of the following industry certifications are a plus: Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, CCNA, CKA, CKAD, OpenStack
