Summary
Join Amper as a Solutions Engineer and design, deploy, and support integration solutions connecting our product with customer ecosystems. You will be the primary technical expert for integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity between Amper and customers' systems. This role requires deep understanding of data mapping, workflow design, and IT infrastructure, along with direct engagement with customer IT and business teams. You will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and customers to architect solutions that drive business value and troubleshoot deployments. Experience with manufacturing systems and B2B integrations is crucial. Amper offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions using established architecture methodologies
- 4+ years of experience building enterprise-scale integrations or API scripting
- Proven track record of leading B2B system integration projects and workflow implementations
- Experience working directly with manufacturing systems/customers, specifically supporting B2B integrations is required
- Strong understanding of integration architectures, APIs, and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV)
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with system-to-system data mapping and workflow automation
- Solid grasp of IT infrastructure, including networking, server architecture, virtualization, and security best practices
- Ability to engage and build trust with customer IT teams, explaining technical concepts in an accessible manner
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across multiple systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical processes effectively
- Ability to manage multiple integration projects, balancing both strategic and hands-on technical work
- Experience collaborating with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to deliver solutions
- Self-starter who proactively identifies and solves problems
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with customers to understand integration needs, data models, and business workflows
- Design integration architectures that map Amperβs product to customer environments, ensuring data integrity and process alignment
- Develop solution designs that account for IT constraints such as security, networking, and system compatibility
- Define best practices for integration workflows, API utilization, and data synchronization
- Serve as the primary technical contact for integration projects, working closely with customer IT teams to explain deployment processes and address concerns
- Work alongside CSMs and TAMs (Technical Account Managers) to guide customers through the implementation process, providing expertise on authentication, networking, and security best practices
- Lead technical troubleshooting efforts, diagnosing issues across APIs, databases, containers and networking layers
- Work alongside Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of integration projects
- Train and advocate for TAMs to develop deeper capabilities with designing and building integrations to scale up this function
- Assist in deploying and validating integration solutions, ensuring successful data flow and system interoperability
- Provide technical documentation and training for both internal teams and customers
- Establish scalable integration patterns that can be standardized across multiple customer implementations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance Amperβs API and integration capabilities
- Develop reusable integration templates and best practices to accelerate future projects
- Stay up to date with industry trends in system integrations, data connectivity, and IT infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with integration platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Zapier) or ETL tools
- Familiarity with message queues and event-driven architectures
- Prior experience in a solutions architect, integration engineer, or similar technical customer-facing role
