Solutions Engineer

Requirements

• Be a personable, polite, and positive person
• Have a mix of technical skills and expertise—e.g.: development, release management, operations, infrastructure automation, cloud-native technologies
• Have experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and have configured and used CI/CD tools
• Be comfortable communicating with customers, carrying technical conversations, and delivering compelling value-based demos
• Like to lean in and learn the latest technologies
• Be located in the United Kingdom

Responsibilities

• Work where you work best, perhaps in a home office and atmosphere designed by you, videoconferencing with colleagues and customers
• Build or update technical assets like Octopus Deploy projects that deploy applications to Tomcat on EC2 instances or containerized applications to a Kubernetes cluster using Helm
• Work with your account team to discover the technical challenges and business goals of an account, and prepare a demo to showcase the value of Octopus Deploy and how it addresses their challenges and goals
• Deliver a demo for and discuss the technical questions of a prospective customer
• Provide guidance to a prospective customer conducting a Proof of Value with Octopus Deploy
• Educate customers on the value of Octopus Deploy by developer blogs and guides, delivering talks and webinars, and attending events to evangelize Octopus Deploy
