Solutions Engineer

Summary

Join Octopus Deploy as a Solutions Engineer and become a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them on their continuous delivery journey. You will work collaboratively with account executives and other departments to solve technical challenges and showcase the value of Octopus Deploy. This remote-first position requires expertise in CI/CD, cloud-native technologies, and excellent communication skills. You'll create technical assets, deliver compelling demos, and educate customers on Octopus Deploy's capabilities. Requirements

• Be a personable, polite, and positive person
• Have a mix of technical skills and expertise—e.g.: development, release management, operations, infrastructure automation, cloud-native technologies
• Have experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and have configured and used CI/CD tools
• Be comfortable communicating with customers, carrying technical conversations, and delivering compelling value-based demos
• Like to lean in and learn the latest technologies
• Be located in one of the following countries: France, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Netherlands

Responsibilities

• Work with accounts and customers as their trusted advisor on their technical journey with continuous delivery (CD) at scale
• Answer technical questions and discover technical challenges
• Demonstrate and prove the value of Octopus Deploy
• Partner with account executives to help accounts and customers solve their CD challenges
• Interact with functional departments like Marketing and Engineering
• Work where you work best, perhaps in a home office and atmosphere designed by you, videoconferencing with colleagues and customers
• Build or update technical assets like Octopus Deploy projects that deploy applications to Tomcat on EC2 instances or containerized applications to a Kubernetes cluster using Helm
• Work with your account team to discover the technical challenges and business goals of an account, and preparing a demo to showcase the value of Octopus Deploy and how it address their challenges and goals
• Deliver a demo for and discussing the technical questions of a prospective customer
• Provide guidance to a prospective customer conducting a Proof of Value with Octopus Deploy
• Educate customers on the value of Octopus Deploy by developer blogs and guides, delivering talks and webinars, and attending events to evangelize Octopus Deploy
