Summary
Join our fast-paced, customer-focused Solutions team as a Solutions Engineer! In this remote role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, designing, implementing, and supporting impactful data solutions and integrations. This post-sales position focuses on successful deployment, integration, and adoption of our platform. You will collaborate with clients to understand their technical needs and drive value. Internal collaboration with Customer Experience, Product, and Engineering teams is also key. We seek a resourceful, detail-oriented individual comfortable with both SQL queries and client communication. The role involves building and maintaining integrations, developing data pipelines, and providing technical support to clients.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in a technical or customer facing role, 2+ years in post-sales solutions engineering or similar role
- Strong foundation in data concepts: business intelligence, data warehousing, data analysis, or data governance
- Hands-on proficiency in SQL, REST APIs, and authentication models (e.g., OAuth2, SAML, token-based)
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript to extend integration functionality or build workflow logic
- Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Consultative problem-solving mindset with a high degree of ownership and accountability
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and how integrations run across these fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining clarity and attention to detail
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build trusted relationships with customers and teams
- Open to occasional travel (~15%)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production-ready integrations using REST APIs, SDKs, scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript), and automation platforms (e.g., Workato, Zapier)
- Develop and manage data pipelines and workflows between our platform and third-party systems
- Write, test, and debug API calls, manage authentication flows (OAuth2, API keys), and implement error handling/resiliency in integration logic
- Answer customer questions about technical topics (integrations, single-sign-on/SSO, data governance, and platform)
- Serve as the client’s technical integration owner during integration onboarding and implementation
- Design and document reusable workflows, scripts, and integration patterns for internal and customer use
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to escalate issues, share feedback, and influence roadmap priorities
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing based on urgency and impact
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with HRIS, manufacturing systems, or HR technology platforms—particularly as integration endpoints
- Experience with event-driven architecture or queueing systems (e.g., webhooks, Kafka, SQS)
- Understanding of common data formats and transformation tools (e.g., JSON, XML, JQ)
