Summary
Join Neo4j's growing team as a Sales Engineering Manager for the ASEAN & India region. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of sales engineers, driving technical sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Collaborate with sales and other teams to understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure customer success. Develop and execute technical sales strategies, providing technical leadership during sales engagements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and proven experience in sales engineering within the enterprise software industry. This role is crucial for driving Neo4j's continued success in the APAC region.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in sales engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in the database, big data, or enterprise software industry
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel within the APAC region as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing sales engineers across the APAC region
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture
- Partner with the Sales Leader and other functions to accelerate sales cycles, grow deals, and align on strategy
- Participate in formulating key strategic decisions as a part of the Solutions Engineering leadership team
- Ensure the team is aligned with the company’s strategic goals and sales objectives
- Develop and execute technical sales strategies to support the sales team in achieving revenue targets
- Provide technical leadership during sales engagements and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Identify and address customer pain points, demonstrating how Neo4J solutions can solve their business challenges
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide tailored technical solutions
- Develop best practices and repeatable processes to enable the team to conduct product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical workshops
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering insights and best practices for leveraging Neo4J technologies
- Work closely with the product management and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product development
- Partner with marketing to create technical content and participate in events, webinars, and conferences
- Partner with the Professional Services team to effectively define and position Professional Services engagements to enhance customer value
- Support the customer success team in ensuring smooth post-sales transitions and ongoing customer satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the sales engineering function
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics to senior management
Preferred Qualifications
