Summary
Join HashiCorp as a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering, based remotely in Germany. You will lead and mentor a team of Solutions Engineers, driving technical strategy and supporting customers throughout their journey with HashiCorp. This role requires strong technical leadership, experience in managing high-performing teams, and a deep understanding of DevOps methodologies and cloud technologies. You will be responsible for developing pipeline, ensuring customer success, and influencing strategic decisions within your region.
Requirements
- Role Related Experience: At least 4 years in a Technical Pre-Sales role and ideally you will have been a Manager for at least 3 years over the past 5 years
- Great team player: Can provide examples of working closely with the Sales and your Extended Team (such as services, marketing and specialists), to achieve personal and team goals
- Technical Leadership: Demonstrated success in building, growing, and managing a highly-talented and motivated team with a regional scope
- Innovative and Results-Driven: You will be comfortable in a fast-moving, results-driven environment with a successful track record of defining and executing strategic and innovative projects that have had a major impact on company performance
- Technological Proficiency: Experience with DevOps methodologies and a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, distributed systems, and cluster management software
- Communication Skills: Outstanding written and oral communication skills in both English and German. Including the ability to present ideas on both technical and business elements effectively
- Interpersonal Skills: Engaging personal style with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a predisposition towards mentoring staff and encouraging their professional career development
- Decision-Making Ability: Self-directed with the ability to make strategic, complex, and difficult decisions at all times
- Travel: Ability to travel as needed, with domestic and occasional international travel required
Responsibilities
- Manage and Mentor High-Performance Team: You will manage, mentor, and develop a team of Solutions Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. You will successfully demonstrate an ability to mentor and coach SEs to their full potential
- Drive Technical Strategy: You will own the technical strategy for your region and collaborate with Sales Leadership to develop pipeline and drive healthy growth across all Accounts
- Support the Customer Journey: You will engage in critical moments throughout the Customer lifecycle, providing support to your team and working cross-functionally to ensure Customers realize maximum value from the HashiCorp portfolio
- Data-Driven Improvement: You will deploy a data-driven, systems-thinking approach to improve business and operational processes
- Influence Strategic Decisions: You will influence key strategic decisions and drive critical initiatives across your region
- Communicate Regional Priorities: You will capture and elevate top priorities and key trends for your Customers to cross-functional stakeholders within HashiCorp
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HashiCorp Tools: Knowledge of, and experience with, any of the tools in the HashiCorp portfolio
- Sales Process Insights and Experience : you are familiar with at least one sales process and can articulate key aspects of it and its benefits
- Hiring and Retaining : share examples of hiring great people and the fundamentals on how to best retain your team members
- Engagement: you have experience in motivating and focusing your team in order make them and their customers successful
- High Standards: you have a passion for driving technical excellence within your technical team and an expectation of high standards from others
- Technical Knowledge: You understand Cloud and SaaS solutions
- You have experience with Cloud Infrastructure solutions
- You have experience with Cloud Security solutions
- You are familiar with CI/CD and DevOps
- You are able to articulate the value of Cloud and SaaS solutions, in both Business and Technical terms
- You can discuss the key challenges that Customers face when they move to the Cloud
- Customer Insight : You have worked with a mixture of types of Customers, ranging in size and complexity
- You understand how to work with Customers strategically and can connect technical solutions to Customer needs/problems
