Summary

Join our team as a Sourcing Support and assist with day-to-day sourcing operations for fresh and perishable fruits. This remote role, based in the US timezone, will focus on supporting procurement activities, working closely with the sourcing team to ensure timely supply, accurate documentation, and vendor coordination. You will research and identify potential suppliers, maintain supplier records, request and compare quotations, coordinate with suppliers on order status and delivery, and monitor product quality and compliance. The role also involves managing documentation, tracking seasonal sourcing cycles, supporting inventory planning, working with internal teams, and supporting cold chain logistics. This position requires 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain support, preferably in fresh produce. A bachelor's degree is preferred.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain support, preferably in fresh produce or perishable goods
  • Basic understanding of the U.S. fruit market, seasonal cycles, and sourcing practices
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching and identifying potential suppliers, especially for fresh tropical fruits, citrus, berries, stone fruits, and organic produce
  • Help maintain supplier records, product specifications, and pricing data
  • Support in requesting and comparing quotations from vendors
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track order status, delivery schedules, and shipping documentation
  • Assist in monitoring product quality and compliance with USDA, FDA, and food safety requirements
  • Help manage documentation related to sourcing activities, including contracts, certifications, and performance records
  • Track seasonal sourcing cycles and support inventory planning needs in coordination with the team
  • Work with internal teams to help ensure product availability and timely delivery
  • Support cold chain logistics tracking and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with USDA, FDA, and food safety regulations for fresh produce is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Agribusiness, Business, or a related field preferred
