Special Events Intern

Summary

Join Autism Speaks as an Events Intern in St. Louis, MO for a 10-12 week remote program! Gain valuable event planning experience by assisting with the planning and execution of the Heartland events, specifically the St. Louis Chef Gala and St. Louis Golf Classic. As a member of the development team, you will develop event timelines, planning processes, and community outreach. This internship provides working knowledge of key event skills applicable to future career opportunities. The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree and is able to receive academic credit for the internship. The position is remote, but requires access to transportation for occasional in-person events or meetings in the St. Louis area.

• Able to receive academic credit
• Commitment to a flexible work schedule of 20 hours per week during standard business hours

Responsibilities

• Assist with event logistics for the Gala, including procuring and coordinating restaurant partners
• Assist with the procurement and management of auction items for both the Gala and Golf Classic
• Assist with Area marketing and communications, including social media content
• Assist in donor, sponsor and volunteer outreach and stewardship
• Provide administrative support and perform other job-related duties as assigned
